The Cherokee Nation Gaming Commission is tasked with enforcing the provisions of the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA) and the Cherokee Nation Gaming Ordinance, as codified in Title 4 of the Cherokee Nation Code Annotated. Its primary responsibility is to regulate and oversee all gaming activities within the jurisdiction of the Cherokee Nation, ensuring that such operations are conducted with integrity, fairness, and transparency. Additionally, the Commission is committed to safeguarding gaming enterprises from the influence of organized crime and other corrupt elements, thereby upholding the credibility and security of tribal gaming.
The Audit Department performs compliance assessments and financial reviews of all Cherokee Nation gaming facilities.
The compliance department monitors and provides effective oversight of gaming activities at all Cherokee Casino locations.
The Licensing Department is responsible for all licensing actions for all employees and vendors in any Cherokee Nation gaming operation.
