Charitable Gaming

The Cherokee Nation Gaming Commission oversees and regulates all charitable gaming activities conducted on the Cherokee Nation Reservation. The National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) and other federal entities require tribes to adhere to specific regulations to ensure the lawful conduct of gaming activities. By regulating and overseeing charitable gaming, tribes can ensure that these activities are conducted ethically, legally, and in a manner that benefits their communities. Charitable Gaming applications must be submitted to the Cherokee Nation Gaming Commission at least 45 days prior to the proposed event date. Applications must be submitted to charitable-gaming@cherokee.org or mailed to: Cherokee Nation Gaming Commission, PO Box 627, Tahlequah, OK 74465.
