The Career Development Program offers High School Equivalency (GED and HiSET) services through an online system and in person tutoring for those living in the Cherokee Nation Reservation’s jurisdictional area through the Alternative Education Program. Career Development also offers the Business Technology Program, Career Skills/Employability Skills courses, and a summer program called Career Exploration for Cherokee Citizens ages 14-15.
Alternative Education provides assessment and testing for adults that are wanting to pass the High School Equivalency exam.
Career Services administers career assessment testing based on skills and interests and provides testing for certifications.
The Business Technology Program prepares participants for jobs in all areas of office occupations.
Career skills classes help individuals develop skills to increase their chances of becoming more employable and create a pathway to self-sufficiency.
