Erin Bailey-Van Gilder

Erin Van Gilder is a citizen of the Cherokee Nation with family roots in the Lost City and Wagoner communities. She holds a Master's degree in English from Northeastern State University and is currently pursuing a doctorate in Healthcare Administration through Oklahoma State University. Erin is one of only seven Certified Grant Professionals in the state of Oklahoma, credentialed through the Grant Professionals Association (GPA), and also holds certification as a Grant Writer through the American Grant Writers' Association (AGWA).

With more than 15 years of experience in education, training, and grant coordination, Erin has served the Cherokee Nation for over a decade. She leads the Grant Development unit of Cherokee Nation's Grant Services, overseeing the preparation and submission of more than 160 competitive grant applications annually. Her expertise includes grant funding research, project planning and development, application preparation, and policy and procedure development.

She also contributes to the wider grants profession as Vice President of the GPA -- Oklahoma Chapter and as Secretary and Board Member of the Grant Professionals Foundation. She regularly volunteers as a federal reviewer, as well.

Outside of work, Erin is an avid traveler and National Parks enthusiast, often exploring with her husband and family. She also enjoys spending time with her dogs and reading.
