Adrienne Keene is a proud Cherokee Nation citizen, originally from Southern California, and now living in District 5 in North Tulsa. She graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Native American Studies and Harvard University Graduate School of Education with a doctorate in Culture, Communities, and Education. After a decade of working in the East Coast as a professor in American Studies and Ethnic Studies, Adrienne is now a full time writer and visual artist through the Tulsa Artist Fellowship. She is happy to be living on her homelands and creating art and writing books that center Cherokee people.
Riding as a mentor rider for the 2026 Remember the Removal ride was the honor of a lifetime and Adrienne is so grateful for the opportunity to build relationships with her team, honor her community and ancestors, and carry our history forward.
