Christina Justice is a proud citizen of the Cherokee Nation and serves as Secretary of Natural Resources, where she oversees programs dedicated to conservation, environmental stewardship, agriculture, wildlife, energy, and cultural preservation. A lifelong public servant, she has spent more than two decades working for the Cherokee Nation and is passionate about protecting natural resources while creating opportunities for future generations.
Christina earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice with a minor in environmental management from Northeastern State University and was later recognized as a Distinguished Alumna. Throughout her career, she has helped lead initiatives that strengthen conservation, expand outdoor recreation, advance tribal energy planning, and build partnerships that benefit Cherokee communities across the reservation. Outside of work, Christina enjoys cycling, hiking, traveling, and spending time outdoors with family and friends. She believes some of life's greatest lessons are learned through challenge, perseverance, and shared experiences.
Participating in the Remember the Removal Bike Ride alongside her son, Jaden, is one of the greatest honors of her life. As the only mother and son riding together on the 2026 team, she views the journey as an opportunity to honor the resilience of Cherokee ancestors, deepen her connection to Cherokee history, and ensure their stories continue to be remembered by future generations.
