Citizenship Registration & Photo ID Field Events bring registration services to communities across the reservation and beyond. Tribal Registration staff provide on-site assistance with new citizenship applications, new or replacement photo IDs and updating registration records.  

New Tribal Citizenship

New Photo IDs

  • Must Be Cherokee Nation Citizen.
  • Must have driver's license or state issued ID.
  • Minors must be accompanied by parent/legal guardian with a state issued ID.
    • Court ordered guardianship documents required. 

Replacement Photo IDs

  • Replacement IDs are available for instances of name, address, and / or photo changes $5.00 (cash) replacement fee.
  • Replacement fee waived with submission of outdated photo ID.

Citizenship application and photo ID services may stop 30 minutes prior to the close of field events.
Arrive at least 30 minutes prior to event closure to ensure timely processing. For a list of At-Large community events where registration services are also provided, visit Cherokee Nation Citizens At-Large.
