Kendall McCoy

Kendall McCoyKendall McCoy is a Cherokee Nation citizen from the Dry Creek community in Cookson, Oklahoma. She graduated in 2020 with a Juris Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma College of Law, and is a member of the Oklahoma State Bar. In her role as a Grant Specialist, Ms. McCoy collaborates with internal departments on content strategy and overall grant development from initial application to final submission, and provides developmental, line, and copy editing on all materials to ensure adherence to funder requirements. She also is the lead responsible for identifying, evaluating, and compiling grant opportunities into a client referral system and maintaining an accurate internal record of referral information relevant to grant development.

Ms. McCoy is a third-generation basket weaver, having first learned while sitting beside her grandmother in a cane field. She loves horror movies (even and sometimes especially bad ones), sausage pizza from the Tahlequah Simple Simon’s, and ethnobotany as it relates to traditional Cherokee artistic mediums.
