Amber Maner is a Grant Specialist with Cherokee Nation’s Grant Development department. Maner grew up in Rogers County and received her degree from NSU in Organismic Biology (major) and Environmental Science (minor). After graduating college, she taught science at Muskogee High School and Tulsa School of Arts and Sciences before moving back to Tahlequah and starting work at the Nation.
While relatively new to Cherokee Nation, beginning 2023, Maner is dedicated to assisting programs in their grant-related endeavors. She currently assists with CN’s Education, Language, and Public Health programs to help secure funding that directly impacts our citizens. Maner is passionate about bettering the lives of native peoples and improving cultural competency here on the Reservation.
Outside of work, Amber can be found laughing at raccoon videos, foraging in the woods, and/or trying to find a store that sells Mr. Pibb - sometimes all in the same day.
