Career Services can assist you in assessing your skills and interests, leading to good career choices. We utilize the Test of Adult Basic Education, or TABE for literacy and math skills, the Oklahoma Career Information System,or OKCIS for career exploration and WorkKeys for the career readiness certificate. In addition, we provide High School Equivalency Testing.

Career Services administers the TABE for reading and math levels and OKCIS assessment for career interests, which provides information on educational/training requirements and labor force outlooks. These assessments can assist you in determining educational/training needs and help identify potential employment interests.

Career Services administers the state's High School Equivalency Tests, which are provided by GED and HiSET.  In addition, Computer-based testing is available for, but not limited to, the following tests:  Microsoft Office Specialist, CompTia, Cisco and Evaluations Systems (teacher certifications). You must register online through pearsonvue.com. Cherokee Nation has testing centers at Stilwell, Tahlequah and Pryor. Other testing centers are available in northeast Oklahoma as well, so feel free to pick the location nearest to you. Career Services also administers the state's General Equivalency Diploma or GED test. Career Services administers tests for the Career Readiness Certificate through the State of Oklahoma Department of Commerce. WorkKeys is a workplace basic skills assessment developed by ACT, Inc., the creators of the ACT Assessment® college entrance exam. Career Services tests in three areas: Reading for Information, Applied Mathematics and Locating Information (graphical information).

The Career Readiness Certificate assures that individuals have the basic skills required to be successful in a given position or career. In addition, Career Services employs a Certified Job Profiler who can assist your business in determining the WorkKeys level required for specific jobs in your company.Workkeys
