Cherokee Nation TERO donates more than $7,000

TAHLEQUAH, Okla. — The Cherokee Nation Tribal Employment Rights Office donated more than $7,000 Monday to help both victims of domestic violence and buy Cherokee children much needed clothes and gifts this Christmas season.

TERO officials raised $7,138 from a golf tournament held Oct. 28. Sponsors included: Redstone Construction, Contech, Godwin Excavation, Bob’s Printing, M. Ross, Inc., TGI, Childer’s Architects, TriArch PLLC, Builders Unlimited, Davis Excavation, Collins Electric, Wingard, Ragsdale & Langley, Meeks Group and Cooper Construction.

Officials with the Cherokee Nation’s ONE FIRE Against Violence Victim Services Office and the Cherokee Nation Angles of the Cherokee each accepted TERO donation checks for $3,569.
