TAHLEQUAH, Okla. — The Cherokee Nation is offering a special business class in Tahlequah on Tuesday, May 8 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for anyone interested in learning how to do business with the tribe.

The class will take place in the Osiyo Training Room behind the Restaurant of the Cherokees, 17725 S. Muskogee Ave.

Procurement specialists and Tribal Employment Rights Office representatives from Cherokee Nation will teach attendees the ins and outs of doing business with the largest federally recognized tribe in the nation. Participants will learn procurement policies that are specific to each entity of the tribe and how to bid on jobs and projects for Cherokee Nation and its businesses.

“Contracting with the Cherokee Nation and its entities, whether you provide products or services, has the potential to greatly increase your profit margin,” said Cherokee Nation Business Consultant Deanna Edgmon. “In order to successfully compete in the procurement process certain policies and procedures must be followed.”
