Community Youth Development

Community Services Youth Development is to increase community organizations, Cherokee citizenship and participation by exposing Cherokee youth to Cherokee communities and how they have survived and excelled through group or community actions.


Youth Community and Cultural Enrichment
This program promotes the learning of Cherokee culture, history, language and promotes community involvement through various activities and projects. It gives Cherokee youth the chance to learn about community organization and encourages them to be involved in designing, planning and completing community projects. The goal is to provide youth the chance to learn and carry-on the Cherokee tradition of honoring nature by searching for, gathering and preparing native and traditional plants.
