Training others to perform life sustaining intervention
in the face of emergency is a wide reaching function which makes an
immeasurable contribution to the well being of communities throughout
the Cherokee Tribal Jurisdictional Service Area.
Growth of the Cherokee Nation
EMS program has been directed toward advanced training of our personnel,
purchasing the most effective equipment available; and construction of a
new facility which will allow our operations to expand, offering the
best possible EMS/rescue service and training opportunities for area
residents.
Classes are offered routinely by the training program throughout the
14-county area and can be scheduled with sufficient participation
indicated. Courses offered include:
- First Responder
- EMT - Basic; Intermediate; and Paramedic
- Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support
- Swiftwater Rescue Technician I
- Emergency Vehicle Operators Course
- Rappelling/High Angle Rescue
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/First Aid Training
- Oklahoma Native American Bystander Care Program
- Child Care Provider Injury Prevention and First Care
