Cherokee Nation Directed Studies Scholarship Program ~GUIDELINES~
Purpose:
The purpose of the competitive Cherokee Directed Studies Scholarship Program is to provide financial assistance
to deserving students pursuing higher education in a specific study area aimed at strengthening the Cherokee Nation
government and economy.
• Must be a citizen of the Cherokee Nation
• Must be a resident of the fourteen-county jurisdictional area or contiguous counties
• Must be a full time student. Must be accepted in a Professional, Masters or upper level
Bachelor's Program/School.
• Must have an approved major degree plan on file. • Must submit official
transcripts at the end of each semester.
• Must maintain a grade point average that is in good standing with school.
• Must attend the Cherokee Summer Institute as required.
• Must sign a contract to work for Cherokee Nation for two years after graduation

• Selection Criteria:
• Students in Professional Schools
• Students Accepted in Masters Level Program
• Students with Bachelor's Degree Plan on File
• Grade Point Average
• At Least 60 College Credit Hours with Admission to Degree Program

• Tuition
• Books
• Fees
• Room/Board
• Required Equipment
• Pre-Test, Post Test, License Fees |
