IN ADDITION TO REGULAR VEHICLE REGISTRATION

• Guide lines in this section apply to all commercial trucks registering at 15,000 # and under.
• Commercial trucks include pickups and other vehicles on a truck chassis. Passenger vehicles may not be registered as a commercial truck.
• Affidavit of Commercial Use : For Vehicles with a combined laden weight of 15,000 # or less must be completed.

TRIBAL MEMBER MUST BE SOLE PROPRIETOR OR OWN AT LEAST 51% OF BUSINESS (PROOF REQUIRED). Upon initial registration or transfer of ownership proof that tribal member owns at least 51% of business must be presented.

All commercial vehicles must have the name of the commercial establishment or the words “COMMERCIAL VEHICLE” permanently and prominently displayed upon the outside of the vehicle in letters not less than 2” X 2”.

COMMERCIAL VEHICLE RENEWALS

• Renewal cards will be mailed out as a courtesy.
• Renewal may be done by mail, unless in penalty.
• Renewal may be done in person at anytime after the first of the month of expiration.
• Upon each renewal an Affidavit of Commercial Use must be completed, signed, and notarized.
• Upon each renewal one of the three items must be submitted; copy of schedule C from current year taxes, Copy of state sales tax permit, or FID # documented on Commercial affidavit.
