The Cherokee Nation Angel Tree is looking for donations. As we head into the holiday season, we will all receive lots of requests for donations and fundraisers, and we cannot always give to them all, but I hope you will choose to participate in this one. Currently there are many children who live in extreme low poverty conditions. Unfortunately for these children, the holiday season is filled with disappointment. That is why we are asking for your help in making this a great holiday for these Cherokee children by donating to the Angel Tree or by sponsoring an Angel.

Here's how!

1. Want to sponsor an Angel?

There will be Angel Tree's at various locations such as Cherokee Nation offices, sub offices, businesses, and casino's, throughout the 14 county area of the Cherokee Nation. Simply drop by and pick up an Angel. Listed on the Angel will be a child with their age, clothing size, and 1 or 2 gift wishes. Instruction will also be provided on when and where to deliver your gifts for your Angel.

2. Want to donate to the Angel Tree?

Since there are those that live out of town, and cannot get to the Cherokee Nation to pick up an angel, here are some points to note and general items that are always welcome:
• Children age ranges from 0-17 (please don't forget the teens)
• Good used/new Clothes in all sizes
• Games, toys, small electronics (CD players, etc.)
• Monetary donations are accepted as well.
In the spirit of Gadugi (Working Together), we ask for your sponsorship and donations. The gifts you give are truly appreciated as they may be the only gifts these children may get.
