Cherokee Nation hosts “Scholarship Saturday” in Stilwell

TAHLEQUAH, Okla. — Cherokee Nation College Resources will be in Stilwell Saturday helping high school students fill out college scholarships.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 11 in the Cherokee Nation Career Services Stilwell office, 219 W. Oak Street. Students should bring a FAFSA student aid report, most current high school transcript and Cherokee Nation citizenship “blue card.”

“The Cherokee Nation wants to ensure our students have every resource available when applying to college which is why these sessions are offered,” said Cherokee Nation Tribal Council member Frankie Hargis of Stilwell. “We encourage students, and their parents, to come and even fill out Cherokee Nation scholarship applications on site.”
