WEST SILOAM SPRINGS, Okla. – Cherokee Casino West Siloam Springs is hosting a two-day job fair October 3 - 4 to fill more than 500 positions for the new casino expansion set to open in the coming months.
“Cherokee Casinos allow Cherokee citizens and our neighbors in northeastern Oklahoma and northwestern Arkansas to have good-paying, stable jobs with great benefits minutes from home. We are hoping to fill as many of the new positions as possible during these job fairs,” said David Stewart, CEO of Cherokee Nation Enterprises, which operates Cherokee Casinos.
The job fair is open Friday, Oct. 3 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 4 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the administrative offices located behind Cherokee Casino West Siloam Springs. Applicants will be able to go through CNE’s hiring process from start to finish, with some jobs being filled on-the-spot during the job fair. Hiring managers will be on hand to provide information about available jobs and answer questions.
Open positions include a wide variety of operational positions, including gaming, food and beverage, customer service, security and accounting. Applications for additional open positions within the company will also be accepted.
Interested applicants need to bring two forms of identification and, if Native American, their CDIB or tribal citizenship card. Attendees are also encouraged to bring employment and education history and personal and work-related reference information. Applicants should be prepared to undergo a drug test and background check if offered a position immediately. The process should take two to three hours.
