Cherokee Nation Registration officials to help with citizenship and CDIB card applications


TAHLEQUAH, Okla. — The Cherokee Nation Tribal Registration department will be on site at the South Coffeyville Community Center June 9 to aid individuals with registration questions and help with Certificate of Indian Blood card and citizenship applications.

Individuals seeking help from Cherokee Nation Tribal Registration representatives can go to 215 Oklahoma St. in South Coffeyville from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

In order to obtain a CDIB, applicants must formally apply and provide acceptable legal documents, birth or death certificates, which connect them to a direct ancestor who is listed with a roll number and a blood degree from the Dawes Final Rolls.

To request replacement cards, please bring in your driver’s license or other signature identification. If requesting replacements for a minor child, the parent or legal guardian will need to make the request and provide legal guardianship documents, if applicable.
