The weeklong Cherokee Marble Tournament is the only holiday event held, in part, outside of Tahlequah.
Ten teams of three players each will begin double-elimination play on Monday, Aug. 27, before the holiday weekend at Clouds Creek Marble Ground north of Kansas, Okla. Play begins at 6:30 p.m. each evening. The four semi-finalists will compete for the championship on at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 1, at the Cherokee Heritage Center Marble Ground.
