The Cherokee Holiday 5K run and mile run/walk will begin at 7:30 a.m., Sept. 1. Registration and packet pickup begins at 6:30 a.m. and ends at 7:30 a.m.

The start and finish lines will be at the Cherokee Nation Tribal Complex with participants following a paved scenic course that is flat and fast, east and south of the tribal complex.

Entry fee for the race is $15 for pre-registration, and the first 300 entries receive a T-shirt. Pre-registration will be held through Aug. 24, or runners can register on race day, but the fee will be $18.

Trophies will be awarded to the top three overall 5K male and female finishers. Commemorative mugs will be awarded to the top three 5K standard United States Athletic Track, Field age groups, (male and female 8 and under up to 70 and over)and Clydesdale/Filly division weight catagories as well. Commemorative mugs also will be given to the top three overall Fun Run male and female.
