The Annual Holiday Cornstalk Shoot will be held Saturday, Sept. 1, and Sunday, Sept. 2.

Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., and competition begins at 8 a.m. each day at the Cherokee Heritage Center.

The six categories of competition are youth, 10 to 12 years old; youth under 9 years of age; Indian bow; recurve bow; and compound bow. Recently added categories include crossbows and an open shoot, with archers allowed to use the bow of their choice.

Trophies will be presented to first place winners in each division. Following the event, a drawing will be held for an Indian bow, handmade by Perry Vanbuskirk. Entry fee for recurve and compound is $7 per person.
