Children's Songs in the Cherokee Language

The Cherokee Nation has just release its newest CD, “Children’s Songs in the Cherokee Language.” The CD is being distributed free of charge to Head Start and Elementary Schools in the Cherokee Nation jurisdictional area. It will soon be available for sale to the general public, through several different avenues. The release date of October 20 is scheduled to coincide with the NAMMY’s, otherwise known as the Native American Music Awards.

The Official Cherokee Font

This font is released into the public domain for use in writing the Cherokee language. This font was created by the Information Systems Division of the Cherokee Nation by Tonia Williams (webmaster@cherokee.org), designed by the Cherokee Nation Cultural Resource Center (cultural@cherokee.org), Dr. Gloria Sly (Interim Director), Anna Huckaby (Language Training Coordinator) and Lisa LaRue (Literature Review Coordinator).
