Narrative Description of the Project
The purpose of this project is to quantify the current fluency
rate of written and spoken Cherokee language in CN jurisdictional boundary
and develop a long-range plan for the survival of the language. Findings
from a cross-sectional random survey will provide the data for the development
of the 10-year plan.
