Cherokee font
New Release...(You are the first of many to be notified of this special release):
There are many version of the Cherokee font for download out there on the internet. Hard work and effort has been put forth in their creation by many individuals. Because of the various versions, some are in need of correction or modification and others are wonderful but have copyright issues. And since one version of font is very much different then another, document exchange can become a problem. Given all of these miscellaneous problems, the only solution was to 'recreate the wheel', in this case, the Cherokee Font.
This version of the Cherokee font will be promoted for standard use and for Cherokee Nation documents. It will also be used in the language curriculum. It is now available for download and is free to use and share with others. This font was created by the Information Systems Division of the Cherokee Nation by Tonia Williams (webmaster@cherokee.org), designed by the Cherokee Nation Cultural Resource Center (cultural@cherokee.org), Dr. Gloria Sly (Interim Director), Anna Huckaby (Language Training Coordinator) and Lisa LaRue (Literature Review Coordinator).
